Mowing a mountain lawn
Mid-mountains lawns are mostly cool-season grasses that race away after rain in spring and then sit almost still through a frosty winter. A fixed weekly calendar doesn't fit that. We set your interval to how your lawn actually grows, which usually means every 10 to 14 days in October and November and every five or six weeks in July.
Slopes, shade and soft ground
Plenty of blocks around Lawson fall away from the street or back onto bush. Steep banks get done with push mowers and trimmers rather than a ride-on, so the turf isn't scalped or rutted. Shaded, damp lawns are left a little longer, and if the ground is waterlogged we move the visit rather than tear it up.
How often will your lawn need mowing?
Grass up here grows on its own timetable. Pick your suburb and a month to see a typical mowing interval.

Lawn Mowing questions
How often do you mow?
Most clients are on a two-week round from September to December, three to four weeks through late summer and autumn, and five to six weeks in winter. We adjust as the season changes.
Do you mow in the rain?
Light rain is fine. If the lawn is waterlogged we move your visit a day or two so the mower doesn't leave ruts.
Do I need to be home?
No. Leave the gate unlocked and any dogs inside, and we'll text you when we're done.
